The intervention in the façade affects the entire corner and improves the image of the building. The proposal recognizes the traces of the original building and adapts them to the new requirements.

The intervention in the façade affects the entire corner and improves the functionality and the image of the building. The proposal recognizes the traces of the original building and adapts them to the new requirements. The difference between basement and the main body is maintained as well.
On the Carmelites Street façade, the openings are joined in vertical lines, surrounded by a metallic frame so the height of previous openings is increased. The opening is composed by 3 partitions: two of them are fixed and one is movable. This strategy pretends to give a general sense to the façade and unify the window types. However and following the same line, two openings will appear in each floor.
On the Doctor Hysern Street façade, the slabs of the balconies are framed by an aluminum cladding in order to unify the façade.
Finally, the project is understood as a unique volume with certain vertical cuts framed by a light material. Thus, a formal unitary language is used in both façades.
